7-10 Sep 2025 Sète (France)

DESCRIPTION

This is the fourth annual meeting of the CNRS Groupement de recherche “Interaction, Désordre, Elasticité” (GDR IDE), started in 2022.

It will cover 7 topics of the GDR, with long and short talks, as well as poster sessions:

  • Avalanches and creep 
  • Elasticity and mechanical instabilities
  • Active matter in complex environments
  • Mechanics and fracture 
  • Quantum systems
  • Mechanical memory 
  • Disordered materials

A session will be dedicated to the Dictionary of Disordered Elastic Systems that is being set in place.


Upon registration, participants may submit abstracts for contributed talks, and early-career researchers in particular are strongly encouraged to do so.

Registration is mandatory with a deadline on May 30, 2025 (on a first-come-first-served basis within the limit of available seats).

 

VENUE

The meeting will take place in Domaine du Lazaret in Sète, from Monday September 8 (early morning) until Wednesday September 10 (afternoon).

Participants are thus expected to arrive in Sète on Sunday (afternoon), and to leave on Wednesday afternoon.
